Visited a zoo that day. Wanted to shoot some pictures of wildlife animals. But it more looked like a big human zoo.
A traffic jam in the saffari (!) and thousands of people inside the zoo. All trying to push themselves towards the more "attractive" animals.
Some of these human beings were extremely stupid. For example a father trying to convince his ten years old boy that unicorn and hippopotam are actually same specie, or other man trying to have a conversation with a bear and getting really angry when the bear couldn't understand the words "come here"...
So who is more primitive?
The most shocking sight was the panther's 1X1 meter cage. Can you imagine holding a panther in that size of cage?
I watched him walking in circles nervously for five minutes until I got a headache! I was only watching and only for five minutes, but he is
walking in circles for years!
But yes, our children are entertained... Everytime the tiger roars you hear that "wow!" amongst the visitors...
Every time we throw a banana inside their cage, brutally ignoring the "don't feed" sign, we laugh while monkeys start fighting for it.
Does our amusement worth their miserable lives?

Next time you're visiting the zoo with your cute children or loving parents give it a thought. Try to feel the pain of the animals.
I've tried - I almost threw up...

wow... you've made an important point here, and you did it powerfully.
The shot really sends the message through, and it's a a hard one...
I personally know someone who never goes to the zoo from that exact reason...
as for most people, Seeing wild animals locked in cages for our amusment is something we grew up in, so we take it as a fact of life, but when you stop for a minute, taking a REAL look at what's going on... it doesn't seem so right animore... it seems terribly cruel.
so anyway... great job. you sure made me think about it seriously...

Thank you.
We can't really help with the dullness, stupid will die stupid, but maybe we can diminish the cruel treatment these poor animals get...
